Lion Maritime Development Charitable Trust

Lion New Zealand was Sir Peter Blake’s legendary Round the World Maxi Yacht. The Trust was established to preserve this significant yacht, New Zealand’s unique maritime history, in a way that keeps it accessible for groups and individuals to experience and a chance to participate on board.

The Trust is focused on implementing its Youth Development Programmes which are successfully run onboard Lion New Zealand.

The Lion Maritime Development Charitable Trust is a non profit organisation established with the following objectives:

To promote and fund New Zealand youth to perform in maritime pursuits at a national or international level.

To generate interest with a focus on development, maritime and otherwise, for youth and communities not associated with or having limited access to maritime pursuits.
